Kareri Lake is a high altitude, fresh water lake at Dhauladhar range approximately 9 km North West of Dharamsala in Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh. Trek goes through the thick Oak, Pine forests.One of biggest adventure is that Kareri Lake is not connected by a road and you can camping by the lake for a night and you’ll get to see the lake changing colours as the day progresses. The closest roadhead is at Ghera, a village near Dharamshala.
