Tattapani

Tattapani is a village situated in the bank of river Satluj in Distt Mandi Himachal Pradesh India. This is at 50km distance from Shimla.Tattapani was famous for hot spring water which was located beside of Satluj but now these Hot spring are no more these all hot water springs are under water now. There was one more tourist attraction points e.g The Shiv Gufa (Shiva Caves) located at Saraur approx 4 kilometers from Tattapani but now this cave is also under water. The meaning of Tattapani is Hot Water. But now this seems meaningless. This area is also famous for donations offered by devotees in the name Sani Dan.These offerings are given on Saturdays to a special group of peoples known as Pandys. This place was also famouse for river rafting near shimla but now you can enjoy the boating here.

In above photo you can view the old bridge of Tattapani, this bridge is not any move nowadays.
